GE Aviation, the world’s leading manufacturer of jet engines, has signed long-term license
agreement with FinnSonic. For 35 years, FinnSonic has supplied a significant amount of cleaning and
fluorescent penetrant inspection solutions for aviation component manufacturing and maintenance.
The agreement allows GE, its partners and FinnSonic greater cooperation in the global MRO
(Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) projects and equipment acquisitions. GE Aviation and its
partners will gain access to modern and competitive cleaning and fluorescent penetrant inspection
technology through FinnSonic.

Networking for growth
FinnSonic has co-operated with Galvatek Oy since 2010. The cooperation focuses on the shared
CE4MRO concept which offers the customer a comprehensive solution or the choice of the required
technology from the existing product range.
Despite environmental and fuel-related threats, air traffic is predicted to grow annually by
approximately 4-5 percent in the long term, causing the size of the fleets and the manufacturing and
maintenance markets to grow.
CE4MRO has already proved its competitiveness on the international markets. CE4MRO will be
showcased next at the Aero Engineering Show in Birmingham, UK in November.

On February 7th Provesan Ltd has finalized acquisition of FinnSonic Ltd. Provesan Ltd is owned by an experienced expert in chemical industry, eMBa Vesa Nurminen and FinnSonic's management team, who continue their work as co-owners.
Regular tool cleaning extends punch life up to 30%
A Finnish sheet metal working factory invested in FinnSonic cleaning process to extend punch life. "Tool maintenance may sometimes be `a necessary evil` in every day work", says responsible for sales in Finland, Jani Huopaniemi from Wilson Tool. Norsk Hydro invests in additional FinnSonic cleaning machines for improved efficiency and quality in maintenance cleaning of cutting tools used in production of aluminium rolled products.
As a completion of the second automatic cleaning system delivery in June 2011 to Norsk Hydro, Norway, Finnsonic prepares for acceptance tests of another manual cutting tool cleaning machine in September at Hydro Aluminium Rolled Products in Germany.
Hydro Aluminium specializes in production of aluminium products. The Crystal cleaning process removes aluminium residues from all cutting blade surfaces. Moving of the tools in baskets is carried out with a special pneumatic lifter, protecting tools against damages and providing operator safety.

FinnSonic has won a contract to provide two (2) Fluorescent Penetration Inspection (FPI) Lines for HAESL (Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited). The newly signed contract is continuation of a partnership dating back to year 2004 when FinnSonic delivered a multi-stage aqueous cleaning line for service cleaning of turbine engine bearings.
The two new PC-based FPI Lines for inspecting jet engine parts will be operational in January 2011.

FinnSonic concluded year 2008 succesfully with sales of an automated ultrasonic cleaning line CR-150/VI MBT50 HD to Russia. The line is made for cleaning of hard metal parts prior to CVD coating. The cleanliness process includes five stages of washing and rinsing followed by hot air dry.
ALG, based in Moscow, manufactures cutting tools and wear parts for the
Russian market. The company has 170 employees and an annual turnover of
