FinnSonic to Provide HAESL automated FPI lines

FinnSonic has won a contract to provide two (2) Fluorescent Penetration Inspection (FPI) Lines for HAESL (Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited). The newly signed contract is continuation of a partnership dating back to year 2004 when FinnSonic delivered a multi-stage aqueous cleaning line for service cleaning of turbine engine bearings.

The two new PC-based FPI Lines for inspecting jet engine parts will be operational in January 2011.

HAESL provides aero engine and component repair services to many of the world's most respected airlines that have chosen Rolls-Royce to power their fleet of Airbus and Boeing Aircraft.

 

Appointments

Mrs. Tea Lehto has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of FinnSonic Oy. lehto-tea

Mrs. Lehto (46) has been working in the company for 12 years, her latest responsibility being FinnSonic´s marketing and sales operations. She starts in her new position 15th of May 2010. Mrs. Lehto has a long and extensive experience of FinnSonic´s operations and she represents continuity in the present market situation. She will also continue as head of sales and marketing in the company.

Halliburton acquires new Crystal Cleaning Systems

FinnSonic will deliver several Crystal cleaning systems to Halliburton operations. Halliburton is one of the world's largest providers of products and services to the energy industry. The company serves the upstream oil and gas industry throughout the life cycle of the reservoir.

FinnSonic has successfully completed and commissioned a large multi-stage chemical cleaning system to one of the leading provider of aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) company in Germany.

The commissioned aqueous cleaning system with its total 10 stages for wash, rinse and drying is dedicated for cleaning of high value turboprop and turbofan engine components prior to their non-destructive material testing.

Successful CRX project completion at John Crane, Slough

Lahti, September 9th -- John Crane, the world´s leading supplier of engineered sealing systems, designs and manufactures seals and associated products mainly for the oil & gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, pulp & paper and mining sectors. The factory in Slough concentrates in manufacturing and servicing mechanical gas seals.

FinnSonic and it´s distributor Turbex, Ltd. in the UK have successfully completed and commissioned a new modular CRX cleaning system for cleaning of the mechanical gas seals. The FinnSonic CRX concept has included a considerable technological development work to create a modern process control system that allows multiple features as standard, such as traceability, flexible reporting and follow up possibilities, free tank order or time critical stages.

As big part of the John Crane UK Ltd business is generated by the aftermarket, the CRX cleaning line manufactured for John Crane is designed to handle both new production and maintenance.

Hard metal part cleaning line sold to ALG Russia

FinnSonic concluded year 2008 succesfully with sales of an automated ultrasonic cleaning line CR-150/VI MBT50 HD to Russia. The line is made for cleaning of hard metal parts prior to CVD coating. The cleanliness process includes five stages of washing and rinsing followed by hot air dry.

ALG, based in Moscow, manufactures cutting tools and wear parts for the
Russian market. The company has 170 employees and an annual turnover of
approximately 12 M€.

Delivery to Neste Oil

FinnSonic delivers a cleaning solution to Neste Oil Finland. The cleaning line is designed for ultrasonic cleaning of stainless steel filter elements in Nextbtl Biodiesel production.  Factory acceptance test of this cleanliness solution was carried out successfully at FinnSonic Lahti Works in December and the line will be taken into use in year 2009.
